Issac J. Riley
Issac Riley is a twenty year old college student, studying psychology with the intention of becoming a psychiatrist.
He’s also a Mage, having grown up knowing about a secret magic society, though he was distanced from it due to his non-magical mother wanting him and his siblings to have normal childhoods.
His father was a professor at the local magic school, and homeschooled him and his siblings. At least, he did, until he and his wife died under suspicious circumstances, leaving a then eighteen year old Issac to take over, and to become the guardian of his siblings.
Two years out, he’s just dealing with it all best he can while working his way through school, and trying to finish his father’s research, which was his life’s work. He certainly doesn’t expect what comes next.
Anna Kahale
Anna Kahale is a nineteen year old girl from Hawai’i, who just moved to Seattle, Washington for college, where’s she’s majoring in English Lit, wanting to be a writer.
She has a tense relationship with her father, which is why she went to college so far away, and so far her only friend in Seattle is her roommate, Lorrie, so she’s fairly isolated, but it doesn’t bother her too much. She’s rather outgoing and sociable, so she’s not worried about it. She’s sure she’ll make friends soon enough. And she’s not wrong, but not in any way she would have expected.
Being struck by lightning is not how she would have anticipated making friends, and she definitely didn’t expect to find out about magic stuff, or to be magic because of it…
