About

Kendall Fletcher, a Young Adult/New Adult Queer Fantasy Fiction — often with a dark tone — writer, has been writing constantly since they were just twelve. Their writing journey was sparked by their childhood fascination with Lemony Snicket’s “A Series of Unfortunate Events,” igniting a fervent desire to write stories of their own. They are the author of the self-published novel “Sparks,” released in 2020, the first of many in a planned series of queer urban fantasy books.

Their first finished book, about dragons, elves, and cyborg orcs, was written in sixth grade during math class (instead of doing math), was all handwritten, and will never see the light of day, even as they fondly remember it. And less fondly remember the hand cramps from handwriting roughly 60,000 words.

They hail from a small city in Ohio, but as an early member of gen Z, the internet and their imagination has taken them worlds away for nearly their whole life. Aside from living in their own imagination, they live with their beloved cat Ally, who often likes to help write… by walking on the keyboard.

Kendall has contributed to Buzzaround, a non-profit newsletter, through an internship experience.
